Plan Governance and Committee Support

ERISA requires plan fiduciaries to administer their plan with “procedural prudence.” We help plan sponsors meet this requirement by reviewing or establishing a committee charter, document parties in interest and plan fiduciaries, establish a plan review/service schedule and document meeting minutes for plan sponsors.

Vendor Selection and Disclosure Management

As an independent consultant and a member of the Retirement Plan Advisory Group we will work with you to match your plan with the vendor that offers the services that you need. We are not beholden or obligated to any financial institution and will use our relationships with over 50 plan providers to match your needs with the best offerings available. In addition, we will use our B3 Provider Analysis™ to rebid your plan on a scheduled basis to ensure the plan’s fees remain competitive and reasonable for the services you require.

U

Document Retention and DOL Audit Ready File

Utilizing the proprietary Fiduciary Briefcase™  we will create an electronic repository of your plan documents, disclosures, investment reviews and committee meeting minutes to ensure that your plan documentation is DOL Audit Ready.

Fiduciary Education

ERISA requires fiduciaries to monitor and review the service providers and others that they delegate plan administration to. Using our proprietary Fiduciary Fitness Program™ we will educate you regarding your fiduciary duties to help you mitigate your personal liability and ensure that you are able to fulfill your obligation to monitor and supervise.

ERISA Section 3(21) and 3(38) Investment Services

We will help you develop a written Investment Policy Statement, which documents the investments the plan is permitted to offer and the criteria used to select and monitor each investment. We will perform a Fiduciary Investment Review™ on a scheduled basis, review the results with your committee, and make recommendations to change the investments offered by your plan when appropriate.

Most investment representatives are not able or willing to assume the legal responsibility of being a co-fiduciary. We offer 3(21) or 3(38) Co-Fiduciary Services which allows you to contractually delegate your significant responsibility and liability of selecting, monitoring and replacing investments. Remember, if your agreement with your current advisor does not specifically state that they are assuming a co-fiduciary role you are the first person responsible and personally liable for your plan’s investments.

U

Participant Support and Outcome Oriented Education

We work with your selected plan provider to offer enrollment meetings and provide dedicated participant support so you can focus on your business. We will provide you with participant newsletters and participant education to help your employees be financially prepared for retirement.

True Partners

We act as an extension of your staff so you can focus on the business and not managing your retirement plans.
